According to Psychology Today, naps can be extremely beneficial for workplace performance. They improve mood and stress management abilities; reduce accidents and mistakes while also improving attention, concentration, performance and alertness; and can be used effectively to combat drowsy driving.

Power Napping Best Practices:
​1) Naps should be no longer than 20 minutes... a "power nap" essentially
2) Your sleep environment should be comfortable, quiet, dark and cool
3) Try to nap before 2 p.m. so you can still sleep at night
4) And please, do speak with your doctor if you find yourself dealing with excessive daytime sleepiness
